Functionalities

Incoming calls in pop-up

As soon as a call comes in, the employee sees a popup at the bottom of the screen with information on the incoming call (number, name and company name of the caller). This function makes use of the caller recognition table, which can be automatically kept up-to-date with own company data (corporate telephone directory).

Click-to-Dial

The Toolbar allows the user to use the Click-to-Dial functionality directly from Windows programs.

In addition, telephone numbers that appear in the Windows clipboard can be called with a single click. Telephone numbers found on web pages can likewise be called.

No other facilities are required on the user's PC (in addition to the Toolbar).

Telephony functions

In addition to displaying the (telephone) reachability statuses of employees, the Toolbar also provides handy telephony functions such as:

making a call,
transferring,
hanging up and
call pickup.

Displaying missed calls
A list of missed calls can also be displayed or sent to the own mailbox, allowing the user to call back the caller.

Managing reachability statuses

When a user belongs to a Manager/Assistant group or a ServiceDesk group, the telephone reachability of colleagues (from the own group) can be changed from the Toolbar.

Own info-text

The user can set current information about themselves (with expiration date if required).

A user may for instance indicate that they are on holiday, or temporarily working half-days.

Current information on a user is visible:

in the Toolbar of other users;
in the Attendant (operator station) programs;
in the PeterConnects corporate telephone directory, which can be viewed using a web browser.

Easy set-up

When the Toolbar is used in combination with Manager/Assistant and ServiceDesk from PeterConnects, the members of the group to which the user belongs are automatically displayed.

In addition, each user can create a separate group that is displayed via the Toolbar. The user can also configure the Toolbar as desired.
