Voicemail

Selectable announcements

Specific announcements can be activated from the IP phone or using a web browser. Even if a phone is not set to forward all calls to voicemail, callers can be redirected to voicemail when the phone is busy or if the call is not answered. Various announcements can be used for this functionality.

Message alert

For each announcement the user can indicate how new messages are reported (via e-mail or SMS texting, or using the lamp on the IP phone).

If required, the user can indicate (per individual announcement) that specific callers (e.g. internal callers) have to be forwarded to an alternative destination. The caller will have the opportunity to select this option.

Setting via Intranet

Users can enter general information using a web browser (Intranet), such as e-mail address or mobile phone number.

Users can record various voicemail announcements for specific situations (e.g. ‘in a meeting’ or ‘day off’).

New voicemail messages

When a caller has recorded a new voicemail message, the called employee can be alerted via e-mail, SMS or IP phone.

The method for reporting new messages can be set separately for the individual voicemail announcements. E-mail announcements contain various pieces of information, such as the caller's number (and name if available), the time of the call, the talk time and the used voicemail announcement.

Playing back messages

Web browser access to the voicemail box is protected by a user name and a password.

The recorded voicemail messages can be played back via the phone (internal or external), from the e-mail message or using a web browser.

Via the web browser, all voicemail messages that are present in the mailbox can be viewed and played back. This also allows the user to replay messages they have already listened to.

Selecting announcement

The required voicemail announcement can be simply selected using a web browser or from the IP phone.

Recording announcements

The texts for the various announcements can be recorded using the IP phone. The user can protect the recording and activation of announcements using a PIN code.
